Spiced Knackwurst, Made in Bishop
Knackwurst offers a spicy taste without heavy heat and can be grilled and served in many different ways. A traditional German meal might see it beside sauerkraut and potato salad. At a cookout, it can be served on a roll or bun with different types of mustard.
For best results, bring to room temp, then pan-sear and finish gently (or grill, roast, or simmer) until the internal temp reaches 160°F.

I've been buying Knackwurst from Mahagany since the mid 1980's when we first discovered Mammoth Lakes and it's environs. Unusally delicious and consistently fine even over all these years. I'm finding it harder to locate good Knackwurst so it's good to know that Mahagony keeps stocking---although sometimes--like now--they may be sold out I've not had any long term problem in gettting them.
